Chip Scan Behavior
Review of whether the item responds during scanning and whether the scan behavior is consistent enough to document.
NFC AUTHENTICATION TECHNOLOGY
Luxe Paragon supports NFC chip scanning for compatible luxury items inside the iOS app. NFC observations can help document chip-enabled products, but authentication still requires full human expert review of materials, construction, serial details, hardware, typography, and item consistency.
WHAT NFC MEANS
NFC means Near Field Communication. Some luxury products may include embedded microchips or NFC-enabled components depending on the brand, product category, and production period. A chip scan can be useful, but NFC alone should never automatically determine authenticity.
Review of whether the item responds during scanning and whether the scan behavior is consistent enough to document.
Assessment of available digital response patterns, repeated scan consistency, and whether scan observations support the submission.
Review of materials, stitching, shape, hardware, interior details, and construction quality beyond chip scanning.
Evaluation of serial stickers, plaques, date codes, microchip zones, interior markings, or production identifiers when present.
Review of whether NFC expectations match the product type, production period, and known brand-era behavior.
Macro and standard photos are reviewed together with scan observations to support a stronger authentication assessment.
TECHNOLOGY + HUMAN REVIEW
NFC technology can support the submission process, but a luxury item is not authenticated by chip scanning alone. Professional review must consider both digital observations and physical craftsmanship details.
Use the Luxe Paragon app to attempt NFC scanning when the item may support chip technology.
Upload standard and macro photos of stamps, serial areas, hardware, interiors, stitching, and materials.
Your item is reviewed by a human expert using scan observations, photos, and documented references.
No. NFC scanning may support the review, but it should be assessed together with physical details and expert judgment.
No. NFC or microchip technology depends on the brand, product type, and production period.
A failed scan does not automatically mean the item is counterfeit. The item still needs physical review and context.
Use Luxe Paragon’s mobile-first authentication workflow with NFC support, macro photos, and human expert review.
