01
Monogram Alignment
Check whether the LV pattern placement feels balanced and intentional. On many models, the pattern should sit symmetrically
across panels, seams, pockets, and flap areas. Awkwardly cut logos, tilted alignment, or inconsistent spacing may be warning signs.
02
Canvas Texture & Finish
Louis Vuitton canvas should not feel overly plastic, rubbery, thin, or unusually glossy. Review texture, flexibility, coating,
print clarity, surface behavior, and whether the finish matches the model and production era.
03
Heat Stamp Typography
Study font weight, letter spacing, alignment, depth, and sharpness. The words “LOUIS VUITTON” should not look blurry,
stretched, uneven, misspelled, or poorly pressed into the leather.
04
Stitching Consistency
Look at spacing, angle, tension, thread color, and edge placement. Poor replicas often show uneven stitching,
loose threads, incorrect color tone, or messy curves around tabs and handles.
05
Hardware Engraving
Review zipper pulls, studs, clasps, rings, locks, and engraved logos. Hardware should feel consistent with the item,
with clean engraving, correct shape, proper finish, and no cheap peeling or rough casting marks.
06
Date Codes & NFC Chips
Older pieces may include date codes, while newer pieces may use microchip technology. A date code alone does not prove authenticity.
The code or chip detail must match the item’s construction, era, and overall characteristics.
